Proverbs
15:29 The Lord is far from the wicked but He hears the prayer of the righteous.
As
believers we can experience both of these scenarios. Although if we are saved
God is never so far from us that He won’t return with repentance, thank
goodness. We can be wicked; we can continue in a sin that we know is wrong that
will ultimately quench the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. We won’t grow
spiritually. We can also be righteous. We can work diligently to keep
unrepentant sin out of our hearts and lives. We can grow in our knowledge of
Him who holds us. He will listen to us when we pray to Him. Since we can be
both of these things which is the best scenario? Which are we pursuing today?
