Proverbs
2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom from His mouth come knowledge and understanding
Give
me wisdom. God’s word tells us that we have not because we ask not. If we want
wisdom from God we have to ask for it. Maybe we don’t really want it because to
have the wisdom of God would make us have to choose His path rather than the
one that “we” want. Maybe we would rather sit on the sidelines of our Christian
walk and bemoan the fact that we don’t know what God’s will for our life is, so
we don’t ever have to make a decision. We never have to act on faith; to take a
step out of our comfort zone and grow in our dependence on God. His will is not
hidden from us; He will enlighten us to what His desires for us are, but we
have to ask.
