Paul
deliberately mentioned this name I suppose. He did so because everyone would
know of the situation between Paul and John Mark. Once upon a time Paul
probably would not have mentioned John Mark’s name in a greeting. The two men
had a falling out that is documented in Acts. Paul mentioned this man’s name to
remind the Church and Philemon that he had also been required to forgive.
