1    Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing

     Our first reaction when someone hurts us is to hurt them back. We very rarely decide to be nice to them. When someone is screaming at us, our reaction is probably going to be scream at them back. Yet, this was never Christ’s reaction to the reviling things that others did to Him. He never retaliated against them. His actual only real display of anger was against the moneychangers defiling the temple. We, like Christ, should have such a strong control over our selves and our reactions to things that we stop ourselves before we have an emotional reaction to things. Hard right??
