being ready...

   1 Peter 3:14-15
v 15 …always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you

Do you know why you love God? Do you know why Christ is your Savior? Apart from the basics, do you know. Are you ready to tell what God has done for you? Are you ready to tell how He lifted you out of the pit that your sin had led you to? We should be. It really should be upon our lips at all times. We should be so used to saying it; thinking it even that it comes to us almost instinctual. Yet, this isn’t really the case is it? We get so “caught up” in the business of living life that we never notice what God does for us. Or our sin so smothers the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives that we never think to turn to Him. As I’m getting “older” I’m learning that we must be aware, we must be very deliberate in living our lives godly. It doesn’t just happen; we must make our flesh turn toward Him and His will for our lives. And we must always be ready to tell…
