Peter 2:23-24
V24…
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree that we might die to sin and
live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed

Peter 2:24 is one of my favorite verses mainly because it mirrors my favorite passage
of scripture in all of God’s word
Isaiah
53:3-6
3 He was
despised and
rejected1 by men;
a man of sorrows,2 and
acquainted
with3 grief;4
and as one
from whom
men hide
their faces5
he was
despised, and
we esteemed
him not.
4 Surely he
has borne our griefs
and carried
our sorrows;
yet we
esteemed him stricken,
smitten by
God, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced
for our
transgressions;
he was
crushed
for our
iniquities;
upon him was
the
chastisement
that
brought us
peace,
and with his
wounds
we are
healed.
6 All we
like sheep have gone astray;
we have
turned—every one—
to his own
way;
rand the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity
of us all.
