Psalm
9
V
10 And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, have not
forsaken those who seek you
To
seek is defined as “to go in search of—to try to discover. This is more than merely
looking around haphazardly for something. When we tell our children (one in
particular is worse than the others) to look for something we can rest assured
that there was no serious “seeking” taking place, at the most maybe a brief
glance. We can’t find God by glancing at Him through the lens of the world. We
have to seek Him in His word. He isn’t hiding by any means; He is always readily
available, but He won’t share our attention with the world. If we are truly
seeking Him, searching for Him, we will find Him and He will never forsake
those who do.
