Matthew
in his writings quotes the OT more than
60 times; in his account of the events surrounding Christ’s birth he quotes it
a dozen times. He goes above and beyond to point out that Christ’s birth was
known about many many years before it actually occurred. God’s plan before the
foundation of the world was that His Son would come to give His children
salvation. That all started with a baby in a manager. I have always loved that!
