Psalm
105:24 And the LORD made His people very fruitful and made them stronger than
their foes
Just read a couple Old Testament accounts of the
Children of Israel and you will see really quickly that God allows them to
accomplish some pretty amazing feats. They are able to defeat foes much
stronger and mightier than them. They are even able to take down giants with
one thrown rock. They are able to topple walls many feet thick. They are able
to defeat armies with thousands of men. The “How?” they are able to do this is
easy of course; that’s God. He allows them, equips them, and He leads them;
without Him they would have been unable to preform any of those tasks. Yet,
what is interesting is that in many of these situations the life lessons of the
people involved gave them the necessary tools to defeat their foes. For
example, David slayed Goliath with a rock and a slingshot; did He just that day
decide to pick up a slingshot and use it. Nope, David was a shepherd and as
such he used slingshots every day. He had the ability already in him that God
used to defeat his foe. Sometimes God uses miracles that we can’t or wont’ ever
understand, but sometimes He uses the life experiences He has lead us through
to defeat our foes, what ever they may be
